Ward 3 candidate Ron Mendez, and at-large candidate Miguel Funez have reflected the Chamber of Commerce's quest to undo Special Permits for businesses. Special Permits protect residential areas in questioning business operations that may affect a neighborhood such as traffic, truck deliveries, parking, hours of operation, lighting and so on.
